Christine Lusey is a veteran of several losing political campaigns, dating back to the 1992 presidential primary season, which was totally not an excuse to quit college and travel around the country. A rare campaign win landed her a job as a state senator’s aide in Nebraska, where she regularly liaised with the public on such critical concerns as “Why do I have to wear shoes in Olive Garden?” and “Why isn’t everything better?”

This naturally led to a career in the entertainment industry, specifically a music talent agency in Los Angeles, where since 1999 she has haughtily dismissed bands like your brother’s friend’s girlfriend’s, so don’t even ask.

In 2008, Christine combined her love of undergarments and politics to found Retro Campaigns, a t-shirt company whose designs recall America’s political history. This takes up much of her free time and a not-inconsiderable portion of her apartment.

Christine also watches a lot of television. Like, a lot of television. She should really be embarrassed about how much television she watches, but like most children of the ’80s, she’s immune to shame.
