Brian Urtz is a writer and music enthusiast who has conducted interviews with a wide range of different musicians, including Keane, Robyn, The Walkmen, Apples in Stereo, and The Grouch. His work has appeared on SodaHead.comĀ and Yahoo! Music.

Brian graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2009 with a degree in English. During his time there he was flown out to Minneapolis to read an experimental short story in front of a disinterested audience, stressed out faculty with an overly ambitious opinion article about tenure, and had a single poem published alongside former Poet Laureate of the United States, Billy Collins.

When he’s not busy writing, he’s either making obnoxious abstract electronic music, attending concerts in downtown L.A., or playing Sudoku on his cell phone while watching mystery thrillers on TV (which he calls “advanced multi-tasking”).

He also enjoys hiking. In moderation.
